The Task
To create a video that will create an enthusiasm and hype about Shaastra rather than just a plain listing of events and collage of pictures.
The Idea/Explanation
The idea of the video is let people know that, there is something big coming soon. The initial few seconds speak for themselves, the dots are arranged in a manner that is found on dice (pic1). It stops at two and then evolves into a DNA strand (pic 2 and 3). The strand is something that is found in all, and is innately human (also found in animals). The strand shrinks into a small dot, and in that small dot is a humanoid, a masterpiece of human engineering. The caption “A man is a machine by himself, and come explore the machine in you” is a reference to how geeks and lovers of engineering have made the machine a part of themselves. It refers to the passion of engineering and the love for innovation. Shaastra, as one of India’s top technical festival shares the same passion and aims to promote the same passion through the festival. The end of the video shows two die tumbling across and coming to a stop is for pure aesthetic sense. The loading part of the video is a reference to the poster we had made for EP.
